Household tip: the ultimate hack to get white sneakers white again

White sneakers have been in for a few seasons, you can hardly miss them on the street. Although they have to remain immaculate and bright white and that is not exactly an easy task. After failed experiments with the washing machine and bleach, we found the way to keep them clean and it costs next to nothing.

All you need is a sponge and ox gall soap. The latter is soap made from - you guessed it - the bile, the secretions of the gall bladder and the liver of oxen. Sounds pretty distasteful but you can't see or smell anything. You can buy it at drugstores such as Kruidvat and it costs less than two euros.

This hack is anything but difficult. Simply rub the bar of soap with a wet sponge and start sanding your shoes. You will see that you really get all the dirt off. Are your white laces no longer white? Take them out, wet them and fold your sponge in half over them. Go up and down like this a few times and then rinse with water. Once they are dry you will notice a big difference.
